Did you know that it’s not just blood that we carry at Blood Bikes Cumbria?
One of our riders, Mal, had a bit of a mix and match this weekend [17th July], with his cargo consisting of: Blood, urine, stool and COVID samples. The NHS call for it and we take it!
Although, as our name suggests BLOOD Bikes Cumbria, we do no necessarily always carry blood. We carry a range of medical items and samples like the items mentioned above as well as; plasma, other samples, medical equipment, vaccines, medical notes/files, medication, sometimes even breast milk and much more… pretty much anything the NHS can give us we can either take in one of our blood cars or blood bikes depending on the amount of the packages and logistics.
