Today, (August 14th 2021) we had the honour of being presented with a cheque from The Whitehaven Academy for £1055.
This was raised by the students in the last few weeks of their final term at the academy before starting the next chapters in their lives.. The cheque was presented by Aimee Carr, Erin Stanaway, Phoebe Coward, Liam King, Grace Kerr, Isla Parkes and the headteacher Mr Youngman. They raised the funds by completing a 10-mile walk, a fell hike and a cake sale.
This is a remarkable feat that the students undertook in strenuous times due to several reasons including COVID, exams and exam preparation.
Everyone at Blood Bikes Cumbria is very proud and thankful for the work that the students put into raising money for us and we want to wish them all good luck in their futures!
