Blood Bikes Cumbria throughout the Coronavirus crisis stepped up their service to provide 24/7 callout coverage, and this week our efforts have been recognised.

This week Blood Bikes Cumbria have been presented with a special distinguishing award by the High Sheriff of Cumbria, Julie Barton – in recognition of the excellent service given to the community through our support to the NHS before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The High Sheriff of Cumbria Special Recognition Award is a very prestigious award to receive, one that we can all be very proud of. Everyone at Cumbria Blood Bikes are extremely proud of this award, recognising all of our hard work & dedication to providing our service throughout this challenging time.

We received a certificate and a letter from the High Sheriff, Julie Barton. This was received through the post due to current social distancing restrictions.
